Welcome to the first Tripp-traveler post!!

Hello All,
My name is Dawn and welcome to my first blog! I know you are as exciting as am.
As you can tell my passion is travel. I guess it is not a coincidence that my last name is Tripp. :)
Here I will post about past travel experiences and future plans. Also, some tips for solo-traveling which I love to do!!!
I have worked at the Orange County Library System for 8 years and it is a great place to do research for travelling. Frommer and Fodor are my friends! :)
Well I hope you enjoy this and feel free to comment.

Happy Trails!

I want to hear some of your travel stories too! I'm not much of a traveler because I hate to fly and I don't like driving or riding long distances. Quite the quandary. In my younger years I traveled with a friend around New England. I've also gone to New York twice, once by myself and once with a friend. Both times I stayed in a youth hostel and met many interesting foreign travelers. Going by myself was actually more enjoyable because I could go wherever I wanted without having to compromise with anyone.

I really enjoy traveling alot.
I have been to many of the beaches
here in Florida. I've traveled to
at least 25 states, including
Alaska. I went with my husband,a sister-in-law and her husband. We had to drive through Canada to get there by way of The Alaskan Highway. We traveled about 12,000 miles round trip. It was great. My husband and I have magnets
on our refrigerator of each of
the states we have visited together. It's like putting
together a puzzle, but it won't
be done until we've been to
all of the United States.
Canada is about as far as we
been outside the U.S. It's
very enjoyable and relaxing
just cruising down the road
listening to the radio or
cd's.

Denver? What's the places to see and things to do in Denver that would excite travelers? Hope you can share all that info when you return. Have fun on your trip, Tripp!

I went to pipl.com just to see what kind of personal info came up under "dawn tripp" because that's MY name and lo! I found you. Now "Tripp" is my married name (maiden was "Leonard") but we have some things in common, so I HAD to leave a comment. 1. I love books and came this close to going into library science. 2. I love to travel. 3. I too love the Chicago skyline. There's probably more, but I'll leave it at that for now.
